KABUL (Pajhwok): A six-member kidnapping gang has been arrested in Kabul, an official said on Tuesday.
Security forces carried out an operation against kidnappers in 7th police district, rescuing two residents of the Surkh Parsa district of Parwan province.
Mufti Abdul Matin Qane, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), wrote on his X handle the rescued individuals had been kidnapped in Iran some time ago, and the kidnappers had demanded 150,000 US dollars in ransom.
He added the detainees had been referred to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
