KABUL (Pajhwok): US President Donald Trump has suspended all military assistance to Ukraine, a media report said on Tuesday.
France 24 reported, citing an unnamed White House official, that Trump made the decision on Monday.
A White House official said Trump was focused on reaching a peace deal to end the more than three-year war, and wanted Zelensky “committed” to that goal.
The official added the US was “pausing and reviewing” its aid to "ensure that it is contributing to a solution.” The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss the assistance.
The decision comes days after a tense meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.
Trump had pledged ahead of his election victory that he would swiftly end the war in Ukraine.
