KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan under-19 cricket team will tour Nepal for three ODI matches against the hosts in April, the Afghanistan Cricket Board said on Wednesday.
he Afghanistan U-19 team will leave for Nepal on April first and .the matches will be playe on April 3, 6 and 9, the ACB said in a statement.
It said after these competitions, the Afghan team will participate in the U-19 World Cup qualifiers, which will begin in Nepal on April 12.
According to ACB, the Afghan team held its first training camp in Nangarhar province in lead up to upcoming international competitions and among 30 players,. 19 were selected.
Last month, the young players attended a training camp in southeastern Khost province and practiced well in all aspects of the game under supervision of experienced coaches.
Also, the team will undergo another 10-day training camp during the current month of Ramadan. The training is aimed at selecting 15 best players for the U-19 team.
