KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan national beach soccer team left for Thailand this morning to participate in the 2025 Asian Cup.
On its Facebook page, the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) wrote the country’s national beach soccer team left for Thailand this morning to participate in the 2025 Asian Cup, where they will hold a training camp in lead up to the competition.
The national team will face Iran, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Indonesia in group C.
The national teams of Thailand, Kuwait, Lebanon and India are placed in group A, the teams of Japan, China, Saudi Arabia and Iraq are placed in group B and group D consists of Oman, Bahrain, Malaysia and Vietnam. The event features a total of 16 beach soccer teams.
According to AFF, the Afghanistan team includes Mohammad Jan Mohammadi, Omed Haidari, Samiullah Mohammadi, Omed Humayoun, Murtaza Jafari, Sameer Nazari, Akbar Buhaduri, Abu Sina Hassanzada, Fahim Haidari, Saeed Siasi, Haroon Nazari and Hedayatullah Nazari.
The 2025 Asian Beach Soccer Cup is set to begin in Thailand on March 20.
