JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Najibullah Tarakai Ramadan T10 tournament has successfully been wrapped up in eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Thursday.
Provincial Cricket Director Mohammadullah Najm said the short-format tournament, which began during the holy month of Ramadan, reached its climax on Wednesday night.
In the final match at the Najibullah Tarakai Cricket Stadium, Syed Agha Arab faced off against Faqir Wahab. After a nail-biting battle, Syed Agha Arab emerged victorious, securing the championship title.
The post-match ceremony, held last night, was attended by high-ranking provincial officials and a large number of spectators.
The winning team was awarded the championship trophy, while outstanding players from the tournament were also honored with individual awards.
Players praised the tournament for providing valuable match experience and training opportunities during Ramadan.
Wafiullah Tarakhil, a member of the U-19 team who participated in the tournament, expressed his appreciation, stating that since there were no official matches during Ramadan, these games were highly beneficial for their training and performance.
Currently, alongside this event, two more 10-over tournaments and one 20-over Ramadan cricket tournament are underway in Nangarhar province.
