KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 53 people have been killed and 98 others injured as a result of fresh US airstrikes in Yemen, media reports said on Monday.
According to the BBC, the US said it launched air strikes on Houthis’ hideouts, killing more than 50 people, including a number of leaders of the rebel group.
Houthi-run health ministry spokesperson Anis al-Asbahi said at least 53 people were killed, including “five children and two women, and 98 others wounded in these raids.
US President Donald Trump wrote on X the Iran-backed Houthis had fired missiles at American aircraft and targeted US and allied troops.
The Houthis have promised responding to US airstrikes with full force and that they are only targeting ships that belong to Israel, the US or Britain.
