Govt servants’ salaries to be paid this week: MoF

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has scotched rumours that government employees’ salaries have been reduced pay norms changed, assuring all public servants of payments as usual.

In recent days, some news outlets and social media platforms released reports claiming the salaries of government servants had been slashed.

However, the MoF wrote on its X handle today: “The lists and rumors circulating in the media and on social platforms regarding changes in salary norms for the Islamic Emirate’s institutions are entirely baseless.”

The ministry promised all government employees’ salaries would be processed and paid this week without any changes.
