Man, woman punished publicly in Ghazni

KABUL (Pajhwok): A man and a woman have been publicly punished in southern Ghazni province, the Supreme Court announced on Wednesday.

The apex court said in a statement the individuals were accused of moral corruption by a primary court in the Deh Yak district of the province.

It said both had been sentenced to two years imprisonment and lashed 35 times each. The punishments were carried out after being upheld by the Supreme Court.
