3 killed, 2 injured in Laghman traffic accident

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least three people have been killed and two others injured as a result of a traffic accident in Mashli Tangi area on the Kabul-Jalalabad highway in eastern Laghman province, police said on Wednesday.

In a statement, the Laghman police said the accident took place around 12:30pm today in Mashli Tangi area of Laghman’s Qarghayo district on Kabul-Jalalabad highway when a corolla type car collided with a truck.

Three individuals were killed and two others were wounded in the accident, the statement added.

The reason behind the accident was said to be recklessness of the drivers. The wounded individuals were evacuated to Nangarhar provincial hospital for medical treatment.
