KABUL (Pajhwok): At least eight Palestinians, including Hamas spokesperson Abdel-Latif Al-Qanoua, were killed in fresh Israeli airstrikes in northern Gaza on Thursday, a media report said.
Al-Qanoua was killed when his tent was targeted in Jabalia this morning; Reuters reported, citing the Hamas-run Al-Aqsa television.
It said the same strike wounded several people, while separate attacks killed at least six in Gaza City and one in Khan Younis, medical sources said.
The Palestinian group also confirmed the death of Al-Qanou, saying he was martyred in an airstrike that hit his residence tent in Jabalia.
Earlier this week, Israel killed Ismail Barhoum, a member of Hamas’ political office, and Salah al-Bardaweel, another senior leader.
Last week, Israel ended a two-month-old ceasefire by resuming bombing and ground operations, increasing pressure on Hamas to free the remaining hostages in its captivity.
