Takhar man arrested for allegedly killing wife

TAKHAR (Pajhwok): A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife in northern Takhar province, police said on Friday.

Police spokesman Qari Zabihullah Hakimi said the murder took place in Yangi Qala district.

The detainee allegedly shot and killed his wife with a sniper rifle last night after a verbal dispute in Makhmal Guzar village.

Hakimi added the suspect was being investigated.
