Deputy Director Passport Office Esmatullah Asim told Pajhwok Afghan News about 100,000 passports were distributed and they generated nearly 550 million afs revenue.

He said: “The Passport Office distributed 100,000 passports in 1403 solar year and earned more than 550 million afs”.

Additionally, the office issued visas to 411 foreign nationals, Asim added.

According to Asim, there are no obstacles or delays in the distribution of passports, and residents could easily fill out forms and apply.

Residents said more facilities in obtaining passports have been made available compared to previous years.

In the first years of IEA takeover, it took months to obtain a passport, but now people could obtain the document in a short period of time.
