Mother, son killed; 4 suspects held in Badakhshan

FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): A woman and her son have been killed by unidentified assailants in the Argo district of northeastern Badakhshan province, an official said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Ehsanullah Kamgar told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident occurred in Arghand village at around 11:00 p.m. on Monday night.

He said the victims—a mother and her young son—were killed by unknown individuals.

Kamgar added that four suspects have been arrested in connection with the case. Following initial investigations, their files will be handed over to the judicial authorities for further legal proceedings.
