Ghazni: Couple, child drown in Ajristan pond

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): A man, his wife and child have fatally drowned in a pond in southern Ghazni province, an official said on Thursday.

Police spokesman Abu Khalid Sarhadi told Pajhwok Afghan News the drowning deaths occurred when a three-year-old child fell into the pool while playing.

The minor’s parents tried to pull him out, but due to the water’s depth, they drowned and all three died in the Guldara area of Ajristan district.

The police official added security forces later fished out the victims’ bodies and handed them over to their families.
