Herat man detained for killing parents, spouse

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his father, mother and wife in western Herat province.

In a statement, the 207 Al-Farooq Military Corps said the suspect, Sayed Rahman, a resident of Adraskan district, was detained in connection with the triple murder.

According to the statement, Rahman had killed his parents and wife some time ago and was recently detained by intelligence personnel from the 4th Battalion of the 10th Border Brigade under the 207 Al-Farooq Corps.

The statement added that the suspect, who had been disguising himself as a laborer, was captured in Rabat Sangi district, within the jurisdiction of the Torghundi battalion.

He has since been transferred to brigade headquarters and will be handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
