JALALABAD (Pajwhok): A 16-year-old boy was killed and his brother and a sister injured as a result of a mortar shell explosion in eastern Nangarhar province, police said on Sunday.
In a statement, the police headquarter said children were playing with a mortar shell when it exploded in Mirza Khel area of Kama district.
It said a teenage boy was killed and his brother and sister injured in the blast.
According to the statement, the injured were evacuated to hospital for treatment.
