Man stabbed to death, woman injured in Panjsher enmity

PARAKH (Pajhwok): A man was stabbed to death and his sister was injured as a result of a personal enmity in central Panjsher province, an official said on Wednesday.

Police spokesman Haqmal Sa’ad told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Staicha village of Rukha district due to personal enmity last night.

He said a man named Hayatullah was stabbed to death by Rahmatullah, a resident of eastern Nuristan province, and injured his sister.

According to Sa’ad, Rahmatullah and another individual have been detained in connection with the case.

Rukha District Chief Maulvi Syed Samiullah Sahibzada explained the victim and the suspect were residents of Nuristan and they had recently come to Panjsher to work in agriculture farms.

Earlier, Hayatullah had been accused of murdering Rahmatullah’s father.
