Nuristan man kills brother over land dispute

KABUL (Pajhwok): A man has shot and killed his brother during a dispute over land in the Duab district of eastern Nuristan province, an official said on Tuesday.

Police spokesman Ghulam Rahman Haidari told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place on Monday night in Badari village.

According to Haidari, the shooting was the result of a longstanding disagreement over land ownership.

He added that efforts are ongoing to arrest the suspect.
