KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP) has announced that 165 kilograms of beryl were sold for 120 million Afghanis in eastern Nuristan province.
In a statement, the ministry said the auction was held on Sunday, with 12% of the proceeds allocated to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
The statement also noted that rubies extracted for the first time from Nuristan’s mines were sold during the auction as well, though no information was provided regarding their price or quantity.
