Head of Natural Disasters Preparedness Maulvi Abdul Alim Afzali said the floods triggered by heavy monsoon rains last night hit the Fanduqistan valley of Siah Gerd district and the Mandiqul valley of Koh-e-Safi district.

According to him, the calamity damaged dozens of acres of agricultural land, more than two kilometers of roads, 21 irrigation canals, two residential buildings, and washed away hundreds of fruit bearing and non-fruit bearing trees.
