3 detained on various charges in Badghis

QALA-I-NAW (Pajhwok): Security forces have arrested three individuals on the charges of fraud, smuggling narcotics and trafficking of antiquities in the Muqur district of western Badghis province.

Police spokesman Sediqullah Siddiqi said in a statement that security forces from the highway protection unit of the province arrested the three individuals during an operation in the district on Monday night.

He added: “The detainees are accused of not only trafficking antiquities and narcotics, but also deceiving people, depriving them of valuable goods and fleeing without making payment.”

According to him, the cases of the detainees, all residents of Faryab province, have been referred to the judicial and legal institutions after completion of preliminary investigations.
