NEILI/SHIBERGHAN (Pajwhok): Two persons have been killed and seven others injured, including children, in two separate traffic accidents in central Daikundi and northern Jawzjan provinces, officials said on Saturday.
Jawzjan police spokesman Qari Abdul Satar Halimi told Pajhwok Afghan News the first accident took place in Chahar Saraka area of Aqcha district.
He said a child lost his life and two others were seriously injured in the accident. The injured have been evacuated to the provincial hospital.
Meanwhile, Daikundi officials explained a 19-year-old girl died and five others, including three women and two men, have been injured in a traffic accident in the village of Ghadar of Neili city.
Daikundi police spokesman Ghulam Ali Javed said the incident occurred yesterday afternoon after a Corolla-type vehicle veered off the road and overturned.
According to him, two injured are in critical condition. He blamed the accident on reckless driving.
