2 years on, Israel kills over 67,000 Palestinians so far

KABUL (Pajhwok): Today, October 7 marks two years since the conflict between Israel and Hamas began in Gaza.

Reports indicate that more than 67,000 Palestinians have been killed and 169,679 others wounded in the conflict so far.

According to reports, two years ago, Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, prompting an immediate Israeli response with airstrikes on Gaza.

Deadly Israeli attacks have continued across Gaza as the war reaches its two-year mark, Al Jazeera reported.

At least 104 people have been killed in Gaza by Israeli forces since Friday, the day Trump called on Israel to halt its bombing campaign.

Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 67,160 people and wounded 169,679 since October 2023. Thousands more are believed to be buried under the rubble. A total of 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the October 7, 2023 attacks and about 200 were taken captive.

Officials from Israel and Hamas, as well as the mediators, meet in Egypt to discuss US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war.
