KABUL (Pajhwok): The Minister of Higher Education says that teachers’ commitment and comprehensive support from officials are key factors in strengthening Afghanistan’s higher education system.
In a post on X, the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) said that Minister Sheikh Nadeem Mohammad Nadim inaugurated the construction of a four-story dormitory at Maidan Wardak University, built at a cost of 180 million Afghanis.
Minister Nadim said that the dedication and commitment of teachers, along with full support from officials, can make the higher education system stronger.
He added: “The Amir of the Muslims has two great responsibilities: safeguarding the religion and worldly affairs of Muslims. We are affiliated with the Islamic system, and we will protect and serve the religious and worldly affairs of the people.”
He also stated that the Ministry of Higher Education is responsible for providing budgets, facilities, and a proper environment for all universities.
At the same event, Sheikh Zia-ur-Rahman Madani, the academic deputy of the ministry, said that two elements—curriculum and quality teachers—are especially important, and significant progress has been made in both areas.
Meanwhile, Maidan Wardak Governor Mawlawi Khairullah Khairkhwa said that provincial authorities will not withhold any resources available to educational and academic centers in the province.
