10 killed in blast at Swiss ski resort town

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 10 people have been killed and many others injured in an explosion at a ski resort town in Switzerland, a media report said on Thursday.

An explosion and fire ripped through a popular bar in the Swiss ski resort of Crans-Montana during New Year’s celebrations, Al Jazeera reported.

Without providing further details, police said at least 10 people lost their lives in the incident, while many others were injured.

Local authorities said the wounded were transferred to hospitals, adding that the condition of some of the injured was reported to be critical.
