ZARANJ (Pajhwok): The Department of Commerce and Industry in northwestern Nimroz province has closed 15 fuel stations in the provincial capital, Zaranj, for selling fuel at inflated prices.
Officials said the closures were carried out under the guidance of provincial authorities and as part of ongoing monitoring of fuel station operations.
The department head and chair of the Committee for Preventing Hoarding and Controlling Prices, Mawlawi Mohammad Qasim, said the move aims to stabilize prices, particularly during the festive nights of Eid, prevent excessive pricing, and maintain market order.
He urged fuel station managers to operate in accordance with the law and official pricing regulations and warned that any violations would be dealt with strictly.
