GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): One individual has been killed after an old landmine exploded in Qarabagh district of southern Ghazni province, police said on Sunday.
In a statement, the provincial police headquarters said the incident took place on Saturday in the Askarkot area of the district.
According to the statement, the explosion occurred when a man was ploughing his farmland with a tractor and struck a buried landmine.
Separately, police reported a similar incident in Waghaz district of Ghazni two days earlier, where a tractor hit an old landmine, killing the driver.
