KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 14 people have been killed and 84 others injured after two trains collided in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, a media report said on Tuesday.
Al Jazeera reported the incident occurred late on Monday night at a railway station in Bekasi, where a passenger train collided with an intercity train.
It said 14 deaths have been confirmed so far, while 84 injured people were receiving treatment in hospital.
Officials said rescue teams were continuing efforts to free passengers trapped in the wreckage.
Meanwhile, an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the collision and passenger services on the route have been suspended until further notice.
