FARAH CITY (Pajhwok): At least two people, including a woman, were killed and three others injured in a traffic accident in Farah province, police said on Thursday.
In a statement, the provincial police headquarters said the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the “Ab Khurma” area of Farah Rod district after a collision between an “Acqua” and a “Passo” vehicle.
It added that two people died in the crash, while three others sustained serious injuries.
The statement said security forces reached the scene shortly after the incident and transported the injured to hospital for treatment.
It also confirmed that a woman was among those killed.
This comes two days after another traffic accident in Farah city claimed the lives of four people.
