KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 11 people have been injured in what Miami-Dade Fire Rescue described as a “possible vessel explosion” near a popular tourist destination close to Miami Beach.
Reuters reported that the incident occurred around 12:48 p.m. local time near Haulover Sandbar, a well-known recreational area off Miami Beach.
According to the report, personnel from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the US Coast Guard took part in rescue operations, and all the injured were taken to local hospitals.
Authorities have not yet announced the exact cause of the incident; however, one passenger told the Miami Herald that a possible gas leak may have triggered the explosion.
Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
