KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 69 people have been killed in an armed attack in the Democratic Republic of Congo, according to local and security sources cited by AFP.
The report said that details about the nature of the attack, the identity of the attackers and the exact location of the incident have not yet been disclosed.
Congolese security officials have also not issued any official statement on the incident so far.
Sources noted that in recent years, the Democratic Republic of Congo—particularly its eastern regions—has witnessed repeated attacks by armed groups, which have killed and displaced thousands of people.
