KABUL (Pajhwok): Five people have been killed and one other injured in a traffic accident on the Kabul–Kandahar highway in central Maidan Wardak province.
Police spokesman Yousuf Asrar told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident occurred on Saturday afternoon after a Corolla car collided with a Mazda vehicle on the highway.
He said five people lost their lives in the crash, while one other sustained injuries.
Officials said the accident was caused by negligence on the part of the corolla driver.
