KABUL (Pajhwok): Construction work has begun on a rice processing factory worth nearly $2 million in northern Baghlan province following the inauguration of a new industrial park.
According to a statement from the governor’s office, the industrial park was officially inaugurated in the Chamqala area of Baghlan-i-Markazi district to promote industrial growth and expand investment opportunities in the province.
The statement added that during the inauguration ceremony, a domestic company named Mobarez Barakzai formally launched the construction of the rice processing factory with an investment of around $2 million.
It said the factory would create hundreds of direct and indirect job opportunities, describing the project as an important step toward boosting the local economy, strengthening domestic production, and improving people’s livelihoods.
