FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): Director of Information and Culture for western Ghor province Mawlawi Abdul Hai Zaeem has urged local residents to refrain from encroachment, destruction, illegal excavations and construction activities within the boundaries of historical sites in Dawlatyar district.
Zaeem visited the ancient site of Dahana Minar and several other historical locations in the district, where he emphasized the importance of preserving and protecting cultural heritage sites.
He called on residents to avoid any form of encroachment, excavation, destruction, or construction in and around archaeological sites and to cooperate in safeguarding these historical assets.
Zaeem said the Ministry of Information and Culture (MoIC) is protecting and preserving historical and archaeological monuments across the country in line with a decree issued by the leadership of the Islamic Emirate.
He added: “Historical heritage reflects the country’s identity across different periods of history, and protecting it is a shared responsibility.”
