KABUL (Pajhwok): At least seven people were killed and 17 others injured in an explosion in China’s southwestern Guangxi region on Thursday, media reports said.
Reuters reported that the explosion occurred at around 1:40am in Xing’an County.
Local authorities said the blast killed seven people early on Thursday and added that investigations into its cause are ongoing, while ruling out any link to gas pipelines.
Xing’an is a mountainous area known for its mineral resources and agricultural products.
Chinese authorities have so far not released further details about the cause of the incident.
