GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): One child has been killed and two others injured in an explosion of an unexploded old shell in the provincial capital of southern Ghazni province.
In a statement, the Ghazni police said the incident took place on Sunday evening in the Kaiwan Dasht area of Ghazni city when an old shell exploded.
According to the statement, the three children had found the shell and were attempting to move it from one place to another when it detonated.
The statement added that one child was killed and two others were injured in the blast.
Police said the injured children were transferred to the civil hospital for treatment.
