Kabul (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced the national team squad for the upcoming five-match One Day International (ODI) series against Ireland.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the ACB said the squad features captain Rahmat Shah, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, Sediqullah Atal, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Darwish Rasooli, Azmatullah Omarzai, Ikram Alikhil, Rashid Khan, Nangeyalia Kharote, Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar, Yamin Ahmadzai, Salim Safi, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Ziaur Rahman Sharifi.
The board added that Farid Malik, Qais Ahmad, Bilal Sami, and Bashir Ahmad have been named as reserve players.
Afghanistan will begin the five-match ODI series against Ireland on 5 August, with the final match scheduled for 15 August.
The series fixtures are set for 5 August (first ODI), 7 August (second ODI), 10 August (third ODI), 12 August (fourth ODI), and 15 August (fifth ODI).
The ACB said the Afghan squad will depart for Ireland today to begin preparations for the important series ahead.
