KABUL (Pajhwok): Security officials say a woman, with the help of another man, allegedly killed her husband with an axe in southern Kandahar province.
Mullah Asadullah Jamshid, spokesman for the Kandahar police headquarters, told Pajhwok that the incident occurred on Tuesday night in the Kobi area of the seventh police district of Kandahar city, the provincial capital.
He said security forces had arrested the woman and that an investigation into the incident was underway.
Jamshid added that efforts were ongoing to identify and arrest the other man allegedly involved in the incident.
Jamshid did not provide further details about the motive for the incident or the identity of the victim, saying the exact motive would become clear after the security forces completed their investigation.
Similar incidents have previously been reported in Kandahar.
The latest such incident occurred in July 2026 near Nazuk La Koti in Kandahar city, where a woman allegedly stabbed and killed her husband.
