KABUL (Pajhwok): Harry Kane, the England international striker who plays for Bayern Munich, has won the 2026 Ballon d’Or, awarded by France Football.
The awards ceremony was held in London on Monday night, according to reports.
Kane enjoyed an outstanding 2025-26 season, scoring 73 goals in 65 appearances for club and country, including 61 goals in 51 appearances for Bayern Munich.
He scored 36 goals in the Bundesliga and won the European Golden Shoe for the second time. He also netted 14 goals in the Champions League and scored six times for England at the 2026 World Cup.
Kane received the award from Brazilian football legend Ronaldo Nazário.
France’s Kylian Mbappé, who plays for Real Madrid, finished second, while Spain’s Lamine Yamal of Barcelona came third.
