KANDAHAR (PAN): Three policemen were killed and seven people injured in separate roadside bomb explosions in the southern province of Kandahar on Sunday.
One explosion took place in the 5th police district of Kandahar City at around 8:30 am Sunday, the provincial media office spokesman, Zulmai Aube, told Pajhwok Afghan News. In addition to the three policemen killed, three other policemen were injured as well as three civilians, including a child.
The provincial hospital doctor on duty said on condition of anonymity that six injured people were taken to the hospital, some in critical condition.
Another blast hit a foreign soldiers’ convoy at about 7:00 am in the 8th police district, injuring a soldier, according to acting provincial police chief Gen. Abdul Razaq.
