ACB beat Khyber Pukhtunkhwa by 20 runs

JALALABAD (PAN‘s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in their maiden friendly match in the eastern city of Jalalabad on Thursday.

Afghan skipper Nawroz Khan Mangal won the toss and chose to bat in the 50 overs game played at the Amanullah Khan International Cricket Stadium. The hosts scored 219 runs off 49 overs.    

Karin Sadiq, who made 60 runs, was declared the Man of the Match. Nawroz Mangal with 39 and Shahzad Muhammadi with 22 were other top run-makers for the ACB squad.

The Pakistanis could not chase the target and were restricted to 199 runs for the loss of nine wickets. The visitors lost the match by 20 runs.

More than 10,000 spectators watched the match. According to Nusrat Wafa, an ACB official, the second match would be played at the same venue on Saturday.
