KHOST CITY/JALALABAD (PAN): A logistic officer of the central jail was killed along with a policeman in southeastern Khost, while four suspected rebels were captured in eastern Nangarhar province, officials said on Wednesday.
The logistic officer and the policeman were wounded when their vehicle was blown up by a magnetic bomb on the outskirt of Khost City. They succumbed to their injuries in hospital, the jail superintendent, Roohullah Karimi, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
In a separate incident, four suspected militants were captured during an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) operation in the Khogyani district of eastern Nangarhar province, said police spokesman, Hazrat Hussain Mashriqiwal.
