ASADABAD (PAN): Three members of the Afghan National Police (ANP) were killed during a joint security operation in the Narang district of the eastern Kunar province, an official said on Friday.
Afghan and International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) personnel conducted the operation in Badil Dara area, the district chief, Syed Zewar Shah Pacha, told Pajhwok Afghan News.
Without giving a specific figure, the official said several insurgents were also killed in the offensive near the Pakistan border.
