KABUL (Pajhwok): Three-hundred positive coronavirus cases have been registered in Afghanistan in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said on Friday.

During the period 2,300 suspected coroanivrus cases brought to laboratories in different parts of the country in which 300 were positive taking the total tally of positive cases nation-wide to 61,755, the statement said.

Of the new cases, 72 registered in Kabul, 15 in Herat, 63 in Kandahar, 45 in Balkh, three in Nangarhar, one each in Takhar and Uruzgan, seven in Paktia, two each in Parwan, Badakhshan and Samangan, three in Maidan Wardak, eight in Logar, five each in Baghis and Kunar, 35 in Laghman, four each in Khost and Paktika, 16 in Ghore province.

Fifty eight people have recovered from coronavirus in the while 10 patients died from the respiratory disease in the past 24 hours.
