20 injured as car bombing rocks Kandahar

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): At least 20 people were injured as a result of car bombing in the 7^th police district in the capital of of southern Kandahar province on Tuesday, an official said.

Police spokesman, Nasir Barakzai told Pajhwok Afghan News the bombing occurred at around 2:00pm.

He said the explosives-packed truck targeted 06 Unit Headquarters which resulted in casualties of civilians and security personnel. However, he did not provide information about the exact number of casualties.

But a source at the Mirwais Hospital confirmed receiving 20 injured from the bombing site.

According to eyewitnesses, the bombing was so powerful and shattered all the windowpanes of the nearby homes.
