Salang highway closed for cargo trucks

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Salang Highway that connects Kabul with northern provinces has been closed for cargo trucks due to heavy clouds, an official said on Monday.

Qazi Obaid, director of the Salang Protection Agency, tweeted that the highway had been closed for trailers for safety reasons.

He added in the overcast conditions the road was not suitable for trailer traffic, so drivers of trailers should avoid traveling the route.
