KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing (MoUDH) says 1,351 returnee families were allocated residential land plots in five provinces on Tuesday.

In a statement, the ministry said the Committee for the Permanent Settlement of Refugees and Land Distribution, led by MoUDH, continues to distribute residential plots to returning refugee families across the country.

According to the statement, 610 families in Nangarhar, 362 in Farah, 48 in Helmand, 180 in Balkh and 151 in Faryab received land plots.

The ministry said a total of 51,425 families have so far been allocated residential plots nationwide, with the process ongoing.
