KABUL (Pajhwok): Nearly a dozen people were injured in a grenade blast at the Pul-i-Khashti mosque in Kabul, officials said on Wednesday. However, Kabul police said six people were injured in the attack.
At least six people were injured in a grenade attack on worshipers at the Pul-i-Khashti mosque in Kabul this afternoon, according to Kabul police.
A suspect was arrested after the incident and is under investigation, the police added.
The Emergency Hospital said on its Twitter account that 11 people had been taken to the hospital from the scene.
Of the injured, seven were hospitalized and four others were discharged after receiving treatment, the source said.
This is the first time such an incident has taken place at Pul-i-Khashti Mosque. Many people come to this ancient and historic mosque for prayers.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
