KABUL (Pajhwok): The cabinet has ordered the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology (MCIT) to ban Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) game and the Tiktok app.

EnamullahSamangani, deputy spokesman for the caretaker government, in a Twitter post today said that the cabinet has directed MCIT to ban the two mobile apps.

He said that MCIT was also directed to ban channels that aired immoral materials and programs.

The previous government had also ordered the Afghanistan Telecom Regulatory Authority (ATRA) to ban PUBG game, but the order was not implemented.

Tiktok is a social networking application that allows users to post 15-second video clips.

PUBG is a mobile phone game played by 99 players at a time on a map, anyone survives the battle in a map is the winner.
