Man’s mutilated body found in Kandahar

KANDAHAR (Pajhwok): A man’s mutilated body has been found in the Baldi area of ​​Dand district of southern Kandahar province.

Local residents said the body stuffed inside a bag was found yesterday in a river with its head and other body parts cut off. They said the man had been brutally killed.

Syed Jan, a resident of Dand district, told Pajhwok Afghan News local residents found the body in the river in Baldi village. He said the victim could not be identified.

Officials also confirmed the incident and said the slain person and his killers were yet to be identified.

The governor’s spokesman, Haji Zaid, told Pajhwok Afghan News that security forces found the decapitated body in Baldi village of Dand district with the help of local people.

He said: "The body is yet to be identified, but security forces have started investigating the incident.”
